I use only state-of-the-art coatings in my cabinet recoloring process. No lacquers, enamels, or latexes are used, only conversion varnish base coats and top coats–the same finishes used by top line cabinet manufactures. Brilliant white, off-white, and nordic white are the most popular colors, but there are many more colors available. I can also do high-end finishes like edge-wear, distressing, and glazing, all protected by a clear top coat of tough conversion varnish.
While you’re at it, upgrade your hinges, drawer boxes, and drawer glides. I only use genuine blum hinges and full-extension under-mount glides with soft-close feature. Blum soft-close for doors is also available.
